Fun!

"A cheerful heart is good medicine ..." Proverbs 17:22

The spirit of St. Peter's really comes through when we're just having fun – sharing a meal, listening to a concert, bowling, watching a movie. We have the fellowship thing down!

Fellowship Lunches  It's nice to sit down to a tasty meal all prepared for you right after church. We try to have all-church lunches about four Sundays a year.

Movie Night  The third Friday of the month, folks from St. Peter's meet at the Landmark Keystone Arts movie theatre and watch a movie together. They usually go out afterward and get into a lively discussion about what they saw. There's also periodic Family Movie Nights where we pick a movie everyone can go to.

Dine with Nine  Dine with Nine has long been a tradition of our congregation. Typically, groups of nine people have been coordinated to share meals and/or an activity together, usually once a month for six months. This provides a unique way to meet new people, reconnect with old friends, and share in fellowship with other St. Peter’s friends.

Souper Sunday  We usually have this delicious meal in November to kick off soup season and to decorate the church with the "hanging of the greens."

Congregational Dinners   Fellowship and connecting are cherished at St. Peter's. That's the main reason we hold dinners to break bread and talk. Sometimes there's a theme or speaker, other times, just a meal. In the past, we've enjoyed a Mardi Gras dinner (with Dixeland jazz) an Italian banquet, after watching the movie "Babette's Feast."

Family Bowling Night  From time to time, folks get together for a few games of tenpin, usually at Woodland Bowl in Carmel, IN.

Men's Monthly Breakfast  The third Thursday of each month, men from the congregation gather for fun and fellowship, often at Michael's Restaurant in Carmel, IN.

Family Fun Night  In the summer, St. Peter's often holds a fun event for the whole family. Most recently, we had "Shalom Jam," an evening of sharing the many meanings behind the word “Shalom.” There was a campfire, guitar playing, dancing, singing, games and good food.
