Connection Opportunies

Early Summer Activities

We are working so hard to return to the building for a hybrid worship experience that includes both people in the building and people online. In July or August, we should be ready. As we continue in this liminal space of virtual and hybrid and in person, please consider any of these activities to connect with others!

Sunday Morning Watch Party

In Person

Join the group who watches the service together outside the church on Sundays at 10 am. One of our youth sets up a screen so the group can watch together. Look for us in the Memory Garden, near the labyrinth.

If you are watching online, go to YouTube on Sunday at 10 am. Join the chat!

Sunday Fellowship Walk and Talks

In Person

Most Sundays, a group meets at 4 pm for a walk in a local park. Bring your kids, dogs, Wookiees, or other friends who might also enjoy this. Every Friday, we get an email from the church titled Weekend Opportunities and the location of the walk is available there.

Midweek Meditation

In Person

Join us every Wednesday in June for a self-led contemplative meditation time in the church’s sanctuary 7 to 8 pm!  This is not pastor-led; it's a time to sit in a pew or stand at the altar and quietly soak up the spirituality of our sanctuary and the sacred landscape of your own soul. Please feel free to come and go during the hour. Spend 5 minutes or 60. Please honor the following basic precautions when in the building to continue to keep our community safe from COVID:

  • Wear a face mask and stay distant from other people
  • Practice good hygiene and wash your hands
  • Socialize outdoors
  • Stay home if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID, or tested positive for COVID in the previous 10 days, or are waiting on the results of a COVID test

Yes, the bathrooms will be available. Questions? Send an email to to

Church Chat

This is not in-person, but it has become a popular way for many of us to connect weekly. Most weeks, after the church service ends on YouTube, several people from Spiritual Life host Church Chat by Zoom. Church Chat starts with a catch up on how everyone is doing. Then we talk about the morning’s scripture (or not, if you missed the service.) The hosts start the event and then divide the group into smaller breakout groups. It’s a friendly way to start your week. Every Friday, we get an email from the church titled Weekend Opportunities and the link to this week’s Church Chat is available there.

Musical Experience

Our resilient and creative music team will be presenting a hybrid event of music from the church. It may include organ, piano, handbells, or other types music. The plans for this are still being worked out, but our initial thoughts are that it will be available for in person and online (and we can do a beta test of our livestreaming equipment.) Stay tuned!

Want another way to connect?

We are actively forming teams for the fiscal year beginning July 1. This is an opportunity to serve on a team and connect with others. We need people with all kinds of skills and talents across all kinds of functions. We can find a place for anyone looking to serve and be part of the community. Looking for more information? A note about hybrid worship plans

We have our Tech Team working on the technical infrastructure, a COVID Safety Team planning how to be in person safely, a Worship Design Team reconfiguring worship to be accessible to people in person and people online, and a Livestream Project Team that is coordinating all the moving parts. So much work is going into this!

Stay tuned for the next step of our evolution in learning how to Be The Church.
