Cincinnati SUMMER Mission Experience

Thank you to all of the youth and adult volunteers who made our recent week at Camp Washington such a wonderful success!

Cincinnati Christmas Mission Experience:  COMING SOON!
December 17-19, 2010

Want to add some service, justice, compassion, and love to your Christmas experience this year?  Join a group from St. Peter’s as we travel to our sister congregation in Cincinnati December 17-19.  Each year, Washington UCC in Cincinnati creates a store for neighborhood families to shop for their Christmas gifts.  Everything in the store is free, and it is donated by churches just like ours from all over the Midwest.  Our job while we’re in Cincinnati is to organize the clothing, toys, hygiene kits, and wrapping supplies and then staff the store on Sunday.  This is a powerful experience for families, and all are welcome!  Youth in Grade 7 or higher may come on their own and will be chaperoned by St. Peter’s adults.   Interested?  Sign up today!  Questions?  Contact Lori at lori@stpeterscarmel.org or 846-6882 x222.

Cincinnati Adults Only Mission Weekend
MARK YOUR CALENDARS!  May 13-16, 2011

Ask and you shall receive…  So many people asked about how they could be involved in the lives of folks from Washington UCC that we have decided to try something new.  We encourage  you to sign up for the first ever Adults Only Mission Weekend, May 13-16, 2011.  The concept is simple:  Washington UCC can use some help getting ready for the summer, and with a few solid days and a lot of adult volunteers, we will truly be able to set the congregation up for a great summer program.  Our goal will be to complete the work projects that are most important to the congregation.  We’re guessing painting, organizing, cleaning, sorting, renovating, light construction.  It should be a WONDERFUL experience.  We’ll get to worship with the congregation on Sunday morning and will spend the rest of the time really pouring our hearts into this inspiring ministry.  Interested?  Simply sign up in Fellowship Hall or contact Theresa at theresa@stpeterscarmel.org or 846-6882.  Questions?  Contact Lori Bievenour (lori@stpeterscarmel.org), Emily Gantt (missionsteam@stpeterscarmel.org), or Joani Phoebus (hospitalityteam@stpeterscarmel.org).
