Upcoming Events

Come and get involved!

Our Annual Congregational Meeting is scheduled for this Sunday, June 13 at 11a.m. on Zoom. We will vote on our 2021-2022 budget, elect new lay leaders, vote on our Bathroom Evolution Project, and give an update about worship plans for the summer.

Join the Education Team for some learning fun with "Summer Splash" class!  This virtual class is offered to ages 3 through 6th grade on every 2nd and 4th Sunday at 9:00am in June and July.  Co-hosts David Hoff and Bailee Belcher look forward to seeing you there!

New Mailing Address- We now have a PO Box for all mail. We made this change after an alert from the Carmel Police Department notified us of a rash of thefts from church mailboxes. If you send mail to the church, please use: PO Box 4778, Carmel, IN 46082-3131.

Midweek Meditation  -    Join us every Wednesday in June for a self-led contemplative meditation time in the church’s sanctuary 7 to 8 pm!  This is not pastor-led; it's a time to sit in a pew or stand at the altar and quietly soak up the spirituality of our sanctuary and the sacred landscape of your own soul. Please feel free to come and go during the hour. Spend 5 minutes or 60. Please honor the following basic precautions when in the building to continue to keep our community safe from COVID:

  • Wear a face mask and stay distant from other people
  • Practice good hygiene and wash your hands
  • Socialize outdoors
  • Stay home if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID, or tested positive for COVID in the previous 10 days, or are waiting on the results of a COVID test

Yes, the bathrooms will be available. Questions? Send an email to  president@stpeterscarmel.org

The Indy Pride Festival will be virtual on June 12, starting at 12pm. Although we won't have the parade to participate in, St. Peter's will have a virtual booth in the "virtual village". If you're interested in attending the virtual Pride event, you can learn more about the event and RSVP for free. Indy Pride Virtual Festival 2021 Info

Join us for Church Chat Sundays at 11 am! How are you doing? Any thoughts on today’s service? Or maybe you missed the service and just want to say hi. We start Church Chat with a catch up on how everyone is doing. Then we talk about the morning’s scripture. It’s a friendly way to start your week. Hosts Jeff Chandler and Patti Peck kick off the event and then divide the group into smaller breakout groups.

Cincinnati Summer Mission Experience June 28-July 1

We have been partnered with Washington UCC in Cincinnati for over 15 years, and our Summer Mission Experiences in Cinci have become a cornerstone of our congregation’s justice work. This year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we are engaging this ministry in a different way.

We encourage adults and their youth 16+ to travel to Cincinnati Monday-Thursday (one or all days, June 28-July 1) to help with Summer Camp (8:30a.m. – 1:30p.m.). WUCC is limiting their numbers of participants, and they are requiring masks and distancing when inside buildings. They hope to do most programming outside. We hope to have at least 6 people from St. Peter’s each day! Please contact Stevi Cook at stevicook@gmail.com to indicate your interest/travel plans.

All volunteers (youth and adult) need to be vaccinated and need to make their own decisions about housing options.  Participants are welcome to stay in the Washington UCC apartment buildings in family groups, in a local hotel using points generously donated by Seth Henseleit-Kreigh, or in their own housing.

Finally, we encourage direct monetary donations to WUCC (mail your checks to WUCC 2950 Sidney Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45225). Please do NOT send donations to St. Peter’s for WUCC.
