Reminder: Worship for Memorial Day Weekend is ONLINE ONLY. (There will be NO in-person worship on Sunday, May 29.) Worship will be posted to St. Peter’s YouTube channel by Friday May 27, and you can worship any time after that. May the Spirit inspire us Together While Apart!

Welcoming New Members & Confirmation on June 5! We will welcome new members and celebrate the Rite of Confirmation for Eli Penquite on June 5, Pentecost Sunday. Please indicate your interest in officially joining St. Peter’s by contacting Laurie Hesselink (office@stpeterscarmel.org) by Sunday, May 22. If you have questions, please contact Lori Bievenour at lori@stpeterscarmel.org.

In Celebration of Eli’s confirmation, the Penquite Family invites everyone to join them immediately following the service on June 5th for a Potluck Picnic to welcome new members and kick off the summer. Mindful of varying levels of comfort with COVID risk, we welcome you bring a dish to share if you’re comfortable with a more traditional potluck, or a lunch for yourself if you feel most comfortable that way. We’ll be under an outdoor tent, and all are invited!

Summer in Cincinnati Mission Trip: Camp Washington July 10-16: The mission trip to Cincinnati is a week-long experience open to those in 7-12 grade. We will spend the week helping with the summer education program and other ministries around the church and community. COVID Vaccinations are required, masks are undetermined at this time. The cost is $300 per person. Financial assistance is available. To sign up your child, or to chaperone, please email Laurie H at office@stpeterscarmel.org

Summer Labyrinth Experience - As the days grow longer and our schedules get busier, the Spiritual Life Team invites you to take time for quiet contemplation this summer.  One way to do this is by spending time on St. Peter’s outdoor labyrinth.  As you walk, set an intention, breathe deeply, and be open to the ways in which the Spirit may be moving within you.

You can also find several virtual labyrinths on YouTube, as well as printing a finger labyrinth to use whenever you need. [HERE].  Enjoy your walk!

Carmel Pride is Sunday, June 5: Represent St. Peter’s at Carmel Pride on Sunday, June 5, from 3-9p.m. at Carter Green! The more the merrier… let Missions Team Leader Carrie Cooley know if you can spend an hour (or six!) at our booth, sharing love with all who find it difficult to believe that a church really means it when it proclaims that it is Open & Affirming!

Indy Pride is Saturday, June 11: Indy Pride is back in person this year! We will walk in the parade and have a booth as well. Mark your calendars for June 11 and more details will be available soon. If you would like to help staff the St. Peter’s booth please email missionslead@stpeterscarmel.org
