All Saints Sunday Photo Request - We will recognize those whom we lost to death in the past year during our worship service on November 1. As is our tradition, a candle will be lit, and a bell will toll for each of the names that we receive. We will gladly share a photo of your loved ones who have died if you submit it to Lori Bievenour at lori@stpeterscarmel.org by 8a.m. Tuesday, October 27. Please also include their full name and date of death. Note: do not send any photos if you do not have the family's permission to do so!

All Saints Sunday: Grief & Gratitude Event - Join us masked and socially distanced on Sunday, November 1 at 3:30p.m. in the Memory Garden and Labyrinth. Pastors Lori Bievenour & Becca Lockwood will be present for prayer and remembering those whom we have lost. Our newly refurbished labyrinth will be available for meditation and members of the Spiritual Life Team will offer guidance/support to those who would like it. This is a way to honor our grief and celebrate our gratitude for life and its many transitions while in community. Please pray for this time together and for those who have been touched by both life and death in this year. At 4:30, join a group from St. Peter's for a walk to continue your time in community!

Halloween Costume Zoom - Sunday, November 1 at 9:00am. Open to all ages - it’s like an online Halloween parade!  Log on to showcase your costume, delight in seeing our children & youth dress up, and to visit with friends before worship. You can also submit your photo in costume to EducationLead@stpeterscarmel.org to be included in the next week’s announcements for people who could not attend the call.

Community members are invited to participate in PSALMS REVISITED, an exhibition of artwork by Black, Indigenous, and/or Persons of Color that interprets biblical psalms through the lens of the artists’ life experiences. The exhibition is being hosted by St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, 1402 West Main Street in Carmel. Artwork will be installed along a directional path that traverses the congregation’s Parish Hall and adjacent grounds, allowing the volume of visitors to be managed and social distancing to be observed. Viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Saturday and Sunday, October 24 and 25.

Additional information is available at www.stchriscarmel.org

Bathroom Evolution Project Donations Welcome – There is great excitement in the possibility of funding our plan to add gender-neutral and accessible bathrooms to our front hallway. If we have funds in hand, we are more likely to secure favorable bids and move quickly if the opportunity presents itself and the congregation approves the expenditure. We are happy to announce that you can donate to the Bathroom Evolution Project NOW through Realm: https://onrealm.org/stpeterscarmel/give/be2020

THIS SUNDAY’S EVENTS and OPPORTUNITIES

Fall Education Team Offerings for Children & Youth  - Worship & Wonder and 456 will be via Zoom  at 9a.m. on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month. Worship & Wonder (Preschool – 3rd) will be led by Juj Query and guest teachers.

Church Chat Sundays at 11a.m.! Church Chat is a weekly virtual after-service discussion about the day’s scripture, message and our lives. Hosts are Jeff Chandler & Trish Hunter. Church Chat takes place via Zoom so that smaller discussion groups can be facilitated.

Fellowship Walk, Sit, & Chat - Join us this Sunday for a fun adventure. If you have never been to Newfields 100 Acre Woods...you’re in for a treat. Come check out the bones artwork (among other art) as we head into Halloween Week. Hope to see you at 4:30 on Sunday. See additional details below for this fun adventure.

On one hundred acres along the west side of Newfields, just east of White River, you’ll find Fairbanks Park. Explore woodlands, wetlands, meadows, and the shoreline of a 35-acre lake—it’s one of the largest museum art parks in the country, and unlike most continues to commission temporary, site-responsive artworks. Westbound on 38th Street from Newfields, take the first right which loops down to the parking lot. About 100 yards north of the parking lot, there are portable toilets on the right side of the gravel path.  Questions? Please contact Judy Joutras at jjoutras@yahoo.com
