10:00a.m. WORSHIP this SUNDAY:
The Second Week of Advent and our Those Who Dream series brings us the candle of Peace and John the Baptist. Lori Bievenour’s reflection likely will make you at least giggle at points and might offer you a new way to see the scripture (Mark 1:1-8). You’ll also enjoy a piano duet, bells, a brass quintet, and our organ! And then there’s the nativities and the advent candles from our congregation’s members and friends. And this week, one song features a LOT of animals. Ready for an adventure?
Join us for Church Chat Sundays at 11 am! How are you doing? Any thoughts on today’s service? Or maybe you missed the service and just want to say hi. We start Church Chat with a catch up on how everyone is doing. Then we talk about the morning’s scripture. It’s a friendly way to start your week. Hosts Jeff Chandler and Brian Atkinson kick off the event and then divide the group into smaller breakout groups.
Scripture Readers/Liturgists Welcome! Would you like the opportunity to read/record our text for one week (or more) beginning on February 7, so that it can be included in our worship videos? You can use your phone to do the recording (further instructions for recording will be given). Please sign up by contacting Laurie Hesselink at email@example.com.
New Connection Opportunity - At St. Peter’s, we want to keep connecting even while we are apart. So, we are launching St. Peter’s Community Connectors. After you sign up, we will match you with another member of our community. Then all we ask is that every few weeks- you reach out and intentionally connect with each other. How you connect is up to you. It can be text, email, phone, or US MAIL. See if they need prayers or how their day is going, trade recipes, favorite verses, or pictures of your pets. Just connect and check-in. If you are interested in participating call Laurie H. at the church office or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org
Sunday Fellowship Walk – We will meet at the Indianapolis Art Center, 830 E. 67th St , at 4:00 on Sunday, to enjoy the art park & some of the Monon Trail. If you haven’t experienced the Indianapolis Art Center grounds, come join us. As always, this is a masked event & leashed fur babies are welcome. Hope to see you there.
Craving an old-school phone conversation? Have a funny story, a memory, or a poem that you would normally share with friends at the coffee shop or at Fellowship Hour at St. Peter’s? Just need to vent with someone? Call a St. Peter's friend. Stay Connected St. Peter's!
